reunion isle records has undergone some major changes and given birth to the new company Action City Recordings. they are about to release aome bomb-ass records from Walrus, Yours Truly, and some other sweeeet effing bands. anyways, i’ve had the pleasure of working on their new logo-work, with some other projects to follow. jsut thought i’d take a second and drop a little piece for viewing pleasure…

so i have been super busy these past few days and havent’ gotten hardly jack shit done. my mom finally sold her house and had 3 days to get out, so ive been running back and forth with her and the unavoidable aspects of my normal life, trying to squeeze in what fun i can. i finally have a few minutes to sit down and take a breather. and as much as i want to post some new work for you to see… i think i’m going to watch some cartoons instead. sorry, check back tomorrow. hehe

so for those of you who didnt already know, long-time friend and former band-mate of mine (like 5 years ago), Aaron Keefner (citizen drake/ best days behind/ honour recital), has been writing ridiculously vulgar rap songs for a few years under the moniker of DG. with a real, established producer, in a real studio. anyways, i did this zip-up hoodie design for him, and i cant wait to get one. these past few months he’s actually been getting more involved with it, is making merch, writing regularly, and next month will start performing.

i totally went to michael’s to buy graph paper for some planning on a new project and almost spent like $80 on papers, pens, and other little goodies. then i took a deep breath, and put pretty much all of it back except what i needed. im like a kid in a candy store… but with a ton of money. sheesh.
i quickly whipped this up for personal useage. i can never get the colors on those spacey backgrounds to lay out just how i want. still works i guess though. now to create an entire page off the theme…

so ive been working on this cd art that i’ve been super excited about for the band lakeshoredrive. we changed it up a ton at the last second, but i still think it looks fucking awesome. i’m way stoked to see the final product.

after months of debate (with myself, in my mind), i’ve finally decided it’s time to start a blog. i’ve always thought it stupid, but i’ve also found myself addicted to checking blog after blog of some of my favorite artists to see what they’ve been working on and what-not. i’m going to keep it as design-related as possible. and recently, i’ve been wanting to post my current projects both to show off and get feedback.
also, i would like to note that if it wasn’t for wordpress’s tracking/stats, i also probably wouldnt have done it.
so there it is. the inaugural entry, and the reasoning behind it. let’s see where it goes.
